Does anyone have information on the co-ed freshman dorms? Are some more social than others? Looking for a "typical college dorm experience", probably a double or suite, no bunk beds. Thanks

I think maybe Balch (women only) or one of the theme houses you can choose but the regular dorms you are thrown into the pool–choose your preferences and you can try to pair up with roommate(s) for double/triple…but as to where I think it is in the hands of the housing genies…

Thanks, I just figured that out from the housing application.

You can’t choose what freshman hall you’re placed in unless you choose a specialty house (JAM, Balch, etc.). Nor can you choose whether you get a single/double/triple (many people who request singles in fact get doubles, and vice versa). So don’t spend much time worrying about this.

you can choose single/double/triple, just not guaranteed.

That’s what I mean. You can request, but not choose.
