It's 3 days before the day supposedly we all storm the calbears site to get our free tickets, and I'm utterly and totally confused.

-So on 7/22 at 8:00 (8:30 or 8:00?) we all log on and go...where, exactly? I haven't gotten any sort of email from them about this yet.

-I am 17 years old, and hence do not have a credit card yet. Yet, there is no way for you to enter a cardholder name when you enter a credit card number. How do people like me get tickets?

-Can anyone link me to the exact page where the promotion will show up?

-Actually, a complete walkthrough for all of us very confused souls would be great. Thanks!

I thought we could just enter the card # of our parent' credit card. That is what I will do. I am going to try and buy those tickets, but It's not like I will be crushed If I can't buy them. I least I get one free ticket.

Berkeley sent us mail on how to reserve our tickets. Regarding the credit card question, I had that exact same question too. You can put the information in ahead of time ("My Account") and I suppose it charges it at the time of purchase. I'm not exactly 100% sure about that. You could always wake up your parents and get them to buy it for you.

Um Calbears works on Berkeley time too, so uhh uhh just log on at 8:40. :)

If you don't have your own credit card, input the information of whoever's paying for the tickets ahead of time. Also last year, when I tried to get the tickets, there was a big problem with the system and nobody was able to get the free tickets with the two games to pay for. I kept trying and after 10+ times of not getting it, I decided to go for only the free games. Then, a day or so later, the Cal Bears website selling the tickets acknowledged the error and students were given only given 24 hours to respond to the email if they still wanted to pay for the 2 extra games. Hopefully it won't end up like that this year, but I would keep an eye out for it if it does happen again.

I remember last year's screw up. Computer glitch and you thought the two non-free ones were already sold out. They weren't. A lot of people called the box office (510-642-3277), redialing, and finally getting through (hint: keep pressing 1, 1, 1) and got the extra 2 that way. I waited until they were back online and picked them up. Yeah, that was after the email went out. I'd already taken the free ones.

To Beatchick, I ended up out of thinking that I missed out on the 2 extra games just taking the free ones only. Then when the email came out, I just responded back and fortunately got the 2 other tickets where I got to see Cal beat Tennessee and lose to USC in a game that left the crowd drenched.

castel gimme some advice while we wait, I bought Big Game tix to chill with fam, but i also really want to go to the UCLA game. Would you (if you already had BG Tix) pay the extra fee for the UCLA game?
