<p>You should be able to request a roommate and be placed with them as long as you mutually request each other. If you want to live in honors, you both must be in the honors program.</p>

<p>And freshmen cannot request specific dorms. I think you can only specify health issues and whatnot.</p>

<p>Spring admits have different rules. Very often they get put into slots in upperclassmen housing that just happen to be open. They also try to keep them vaguely together, so maybe they decided to put them all in IV.</p>
