Freshman Room-mate/Dorm selection

I am still looking for a room-mate for Fall 2015 but was wondering should I fill out anything in advance that will get me a better dorm (with A/C for example). I already submitted my housing/dining form when I paid my deposit. I just used the default for preference. I noticed something on the UMD website about dorm selection. I am not in an honors or scholors program. Computer Science/Math Major.

As a Freshman, your dorm assignment will be based on whatever Living Learning Community you are in. If you are not part of an LLC, a dorm will be assigned to you. The dorm selection info that appears on the UMD website is for current students. They are selecting their dorm preferences for next year. That info may be of interest, but it doesn’t really apply to incoming freshman.

You can select a room-mate, if you both send an email to ResLife, requesting each other.
