<p>What I meant to say was previous academic ACHIEVEMENT doesn’t give you any edge over other students (using traditional measurements of GPA/SAT). Obviously if you have experience/knowledge someone else does not, that gives you an edge. But I also am not a strong believer in retaking intro courses if you have the AP credit. The point I meant to make was I think it’s wrong to think that coming into Cornell with 4.0’s and near perfect SATs will mean you are going to be a stronger student versus students coming in with 3.7GPAs and 2000 SATs.</p>
