No history classes the first 2 years?

@SwaggyC‌ I fixed that sorry

bump

You’re missing MultiVar in junior year.

While the classes are important to get into a BS/MD program, your application will be tossed right out if you don’t have any sort of internship/lab experience/ healthcare related activities showing a LOT of dedication to the field.

@Violet1996‌ MultiVar is Calculus 3 senior year. I’m going to have 100+ hospital volunteer hours. I’ll also have two summers researching at Northwestern or University of Chicago. I’m also a cofounder if my school’s Neurology club. The two summers of research will be used towards two science fair projects that will definitely get me to state at the least. Is that enough? Any suggestions to what more I could do medical wise? The rest of my extracurriculars are very strong.

Your list does sound good. A few months ago (when I was convinced med-school was my destiny lol), I applied to the combined program at RPI/Alb. Med. I made it about 2/3 of the way the through the process before my application was booted, and my record was no where near as strong as yours. Are there any programs you have in mind?

You guys have some impressive ECs dam…

@Violet1996‌ not really haha I know how competitive and selective these programs can be. what are some f the lower tier ones you think I’d have a better shot at? I’m looking for a program in which I don’t have to take the mcat

I think you have a shot with any of the Albany Medical School programs (They have programs with RPI, Union and Siena). Penn State’s is a pretty decent one that I think you have a shot at. Rutgers has a couple programs with different hospitals. Their program with Robert Wood Johnson should be the best, and I think it’s one that you could get into. And obviously, PLME @ Brown, Northwestern’s and Rice’s programs are difficult for anybody, but you’re definitely qualified, so why not?

See if you can get an internship/position at your local hospital/clinic. If you can bag at least one of those before you apply, I think you can guarantee yourself a couple of acceptances with these program.

Thanks a lot @Violet1996‌ !

Lul, are you an 8th grader?

@Apollo11‌ current freshman actually
