Freshman Summer Orientation

But I went to the first orientation and there were people taking the government test even though AP scores won’t be released until next month.

What time would be a good time to show up? Cause I live three hours away and want to know if it would be better to come up monday or wake up early tuesday…(my aunt is in SA, I can stay there)

I suggest arriving by 9:00 AM. The lines take about half an hour to register.

Seems like everything was answered except for the question about the “all-you-can-eat dining hall.” During my orientation, it was closed. However, from what I can tell, it’s open to just about everyone this summer. Not sure why. It doesn’t appear to be reserved for any particular summer camps. Anyone with any kind of card should be able to get in. Just check their times. They’re very limited. You can’t eat there between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner. And I think they close for dinner at 7, just like JCL.

The registrations times are:

A–G. . . . . . . . 9–9:30 a.m.
H–O. . . . . . . . 9:30–10 a.m.
P–Z . . . . . . . . 10–10:30 a.m.

If I’m in the last section, does that mean that most classes will already be filled up before I even begin to register?

Quite possibly.

Then you can just wait until the next Friday and register at 8 AM when they open more spaces in each freshman-targeted course.

Or you could do like alot of ppl did at my orientation, use your own laptop OR go to the PCL and do it there, you are able to do it there outside your time and avoid the line, just make sure you return your surveys and just know that if you do it in the PCL your pretty much screwed if you mess up, but other than that you can do it on your own…lol

What is the PCL?

the Perry-Casta

And, as a head up, FAC is Flawn Academic Center.

We use acroymns to refer to a lot of the buildings on campus.
