<p>Hi, I am a HS student from China and I am attending Fordham this fall...I don't have any ideas how American students figure out their college textbooks. Can anyone tell me where and how can I get the textbooks most effectively with the lowest prices? As all freshmen will shop or find textbooks at the start of the semester, what is the best strategy to get textbooks then? Personally, I would like to purchase secondhand textbooks, or to rent.</p>

<p>You can buy textbooks in the campus bookstore, but my daughter has gotten most of her used books on amazon or chegg.com.</p>
<p>My first semester I just went to the bookstore, but that is the most expensive option. Now I get most on amazon. If you want to rent, chegg is the best option I have found. If you come across a book that is a Fordham edition (I have had two classes where the books were edited specifically for a class at Fordham), then you will need to get that at the bookstore.</p>
