um i just wanted to know: which schools don't look at you freshman year grades?

Public U’s of the U of CA and CA State systems, otherwise everyone else that I know of.

Why is this general question in the Yale forum?

Stanford for sure does not look at freshman grades, and Princeton unofficially ignores them as well.

I thought you were a ■■■■■.

Anyhow… the above posters are correct.

Although freshman year grades are evaluated by most top schools, they don’t carry a lot of weight. If your freshman grade is bad, as long as you show an upward trend, you won’t be in a complete disadvantage.
