So this semester I took it pretty light with only 13 units; I'm actually pretty bored a lot of the time, and wish I took a couple more classes. I am an astrophysics major, and the only class I'm taking for a major requirement this semester is Calc 1A ( I took it last year in High School). I feel like I have some catching up to do, and so far my next semester seems to include these classes:

Calc 1B
Physics 7A
Intro to Astrophysics

I will need a couple other classes to fill up on units, but I was wondering if taking these 3 classes sounds like a doable task, especially since it's only my second semester. I heard Calc 1B is very challenging, but don't know about the other two.

Thanks a lot for the input, much appreciated.

From my (current) personal experience, Math 1B is challenging. But the challenging aspect is more like you needing to understand the material well, and if you don't, visit the professor during his/her office hours. The class keeps you on your toes. I'm sure that you'll do well as long as you attend every lecture and do your homework. I'm sorry that you're sort of bored this semester. Seriously, your schedule looks very doable and maybe you could take another course that's part of your astrophysics major requirement (if you want). Or something to fulfill another breadth requirement? Cheers.

I wish I was in your position. Not having enough work to do. I'm making the mistake of taking 17 units my first year with math 54, physics 7a, and E77. Its doable but I dont have time for anything else. I'm going to take a light load next semester, so I have more time to go to office hours and try research.
