S'okay. I got into Boston U and NYU. Now I just have to get my financial aid from NYU. They haven't sent anything about that.

I am really sorry. I am sure that where ever you go you will do fantastic. I always say that there is always a reason for everything. Best of luck to you.

Thanks guys. I'm just kind of mad I waited so long and wasted so much time. =/

nice...

i'm sorry.. BU has a better campus than NYU.. heads up

Yeah, but I think NYU might be a better school. I'm not sure yet. I know NYU's campus is nonexistant.

NYU's is EVERYWHERE.. just completely random.. but better location.. and NYU might be better.. depends on the major.. plus i think i'm biased since i love boston (the city)

I'm going to study the Classics.

Sorry Nickel. They don't know what they are missing! I live in NY and I can tell you there is no more interesting and exciting place to live than Greenwich Village NY. You have a great choice!

oo im sorry nickel, life's a ***** lol

I just hope NYU can give me good aid. =/ Boston U is giving me 32k in grants.

Nickel -- I'm so sorry to hear USC didn't accept you. I'm sure you will do well wherever you go. Please continue to keep us posted.

aww nickel...
Don't worry, USC's not worth it anyway. It's just filled with a bunch of spoiled rich kids. They're missing out on an awesome student if they rejected you.

I think you should choose Boston U. I've heard some bad things about NYU's academics.

BTW, to tell you the truth, i'm starting to lean towards UCSD since I'm a biology major, but I'll tell you if i hear back from USC.

Bad things about NYU? Like what?

Nickel Xenon- BU and NYU are EXCELLENT schools. My D (here with me) didn't get into USC two years ago and for her, it was the best thing. USC is not for everyone and she has excelled much better elsewhere.

Good luck to you- I've enjoyed watching your enthusiasm which I know will be with you wherever you go.

Just things about how NYU's academics don't meet up to their "prestige" or "name".

Plus BU is giving you money to go there =]

Well, I got into NYU through their general studies program and got into CAS at BU. I don't know if I'm ready to go to such huge lectures yet. xD Since they say at CAS BU most of the classes are lectures with huge number of students. =/

Nickel, sorry to hear you didn't make it into USC. It was a tough year for admissions. I know wherever you go you will succeed. We just returned from a visit to NYC and walked around Grenwich Village. It's a great area, lots going on. We had a a fantastic time in NYC. My niece graduated from NYC as did a fellow co-worker. They both have great things to say about NYU and NYC. BU is also a good school and Boston has lots to offer. Hope your financial aid from NYU comes soon so you can make a decision. The very best to you in the future.

Was it a hard area to navigate? I have no sense of direction. xD

No, the subways are easy to navigate and there was enough in Grenwich Village that you really dididn't need to go further afield to find things to do.

I kind of want to go to NYU, but I don't know if they'll give me good aid. The FAFSA didn't even ask about some things the CSS Profile did, which NYU does not ask for. =/ I hope they take into account the 20k drop in my parent's income.
