Hello everybody, I'm retaking the SAT Dec 1 and my goal is to reach at least 2000.

Here's my breakdown: M 610, CR 650, W 630 (60 MC + 9 essay).

I'm a senior and this will be my absolute last chance. My highest math on practice tests was 670, highest CR was ~660 and highest W was 750. I just seem to get nervous and not take my knowledge to the test center. But I still feel like I need to practice more and be over prepared so that I don't fall short.

I need some advice and tips on studying. Anything is greatly appreciated, thanks!

PS: last SAT score was 1740 and I was able to raise it 150 points, but that was by studying all summer. This time I only have 34 days and counting...so any efficient study methods to improve 110+ pts?

Anything is possible with studying and hope. I’m also hoping to raise my sat score. (my math is a 520, any tips) Inbox me for writing tips, that’s my best sections. Best of luck!

Just keep studying and taking practice tests! The more confident you feel with the material, the more confident you will be when it comes time to take the test. Good Luck!

Yes just keep studying my first sat was an 1100 and I studied for 3 months straight to get a 1920. Confidence is key. I also will be taking it in December so we’re in the same boat

I went from an 1890 to a 2010 in…6 months, but I didn’t really study for CR or W- just math! And it only went up 50 points to a 580, so I’m retaking again! And I have less than a week to study. ):
But you can do it!
Some tips:
Instead of trying to cram a bunch of vocab words into your head, try learning roots instead. It’s helped me a TON. Also, when you get a word you don’t know, think of words it is similar to. For example, I had the word “abstemious,” and I didn’t know what it meant, but I knew that “abstain” and “abstinence” meant keeping away from things, so I knew then that abstemious was not the right choice for the question. And I got it right!
If you don’t have time to go over all the math concepts, I suggest you look up tricks and shortcuts in the math section, because they’re definitely there. I used the SAT Math Bible, and it was extremely helpful for me.
As for writing, if you made a 750 on the practice test, then you can do it on the real test! Just don’t be nervous!

Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate the pep talk thanks for the tips and for those of you retaking, I wish you the best of luck!

I’m going to start studying right now. If anyone has more tips, I’d love to know.
