From Community College to Ivy League in a Year?

I know it is possible to transfer from a community college to an ivy league school after two years, difficult but possible, and I was wondering if there is a chance of doing that after only one year at a community college? I just want some opinions.

I’d say maybe, but only if you were a competitive applicant as a high school senior that just missed the mark

Extremely low because when you apply for a soph transfer, colleges will only see 1 completed semester of college coursework and perhaps a midyear report for spring sem. Therefore, they will weigh your HS record (gpa and rigor) and test scores heavily.

This is of course assuming that the applicant was not a competitive candidate for selective colleges as a HS sr and that’s why they’re attending a CC, rather than purely because of financial/personal/etc. reasons.

If you were not a competitive applicant coming out of high school than most likely not.

take a full course load over the summer and it’ll speed up the process…I was @ a CC a year ago this time…was admitted to several top schools

^But you also spent a year at a 4 yr college and transferred as a jr, not a soph:

Thanks for your opinions!
