Mother of a Texas Carl freshman here - you've got the basic tangibles to be considered. What really makes the difference with Carleton is the character of the applicant, which comes through in the interview, essays, and recommendations. They want a student who is passionate about learning and marches to the beat of their own drum. If those qualities come through in your interviews and essays, I'd say you have a good shot. Somewhere earlier in this forum I posted the class of 2010 profile - take a look at that and you'll see what I mean about what Carleton is looking for.

Good luck - Carleton is outstanding!
