I have seen students with 3-8 AP courses. My daughter's private school does not encourage taking AP courses and offers only a handful. Two available in junior year and 2 senior year. The requirements to take these courses are stiff and my daughter may only have two at graduation. I've seen students with5-7 AP courses at graduation. Will this be detrimental to my daughter?

No, this shouldn't hurt your daughter if her school has a strong core cirriculum that generally doesn't advocate taking AP courses. I know my sister's boarding school (one of the best) didn't and this never affected her because the classes she took were already challenging and demanding.
