I won a $1,000 scholarship from the school district my high school is in. It was meant for tuition, fees, and books. In order to get book money I either had to show them the books I needed and they'd hand over the money or I send them the receipts and they give me what I spent on them. I sent them all the receipts from books I bought and it's been a month and I have not heard from them! I was going to use to money to pay for my dorm which I am now very late on and on the verge of being referred to the dean of students. I am very angry and have tried contacting them many times. On top of that I needed a book with an access code for a homework in my science class that I ended up having to buy out of my own pocket since I never got a response from them. What should I do? I'm very angry.

You should call and be very, very polite while asking about your submitted book receipts. One thousand dollars doesn’t really go very far though, and your room costs must be more than whatever was remaining after your books are paid for. How were you planning to meet expenses since 1000 won’t cover everything?
