So I just got the enrollment-confirmation letter. They say I have to send them a Final Academic Report which "was included with your admissions materials." Well, I can't find it in any of the stuff they've sent me since I requested an application (including the application itself), and I've kept everything - and I can't find it online, either.

And it seems to be getting a little late in spring for them to be sending the Health Examination Report "later in the spring" to get back to them by July 15.

Finally, the website at which to waive the Tufts University Health Insurance Plan, which the letter says to do ASAP as I am covered by my parent's plan, is not up yet.

Anyone know anything about any of this, or what to do about it? Sorry if I sound annoyed, but, well, I am. I don't want to get screwed out of going to Tufts now, after everything, and I feel like this is cutting it a little close.

I also haven't got any sort of form to confirm my financial aid, like it says on TAMS. But I'm guessing that one is supposed to come a little later?

okay, people make this mistake all the time: they post problems and questions on the forum instead of talking to people who know more about what's going on. Call the financial aid or admissions office. They're much more likely to have answers for you.

RE: the health forms..........
You have plenty of time to get these in......relax. Make an appointment to see your health care provider for sometime late in June or early July. Have the form filled out and mail it in........
The form for health insurance waiver can be done online (at least this was true last year), but is no big deal either. It will delete the charge for Tufts coverage from your tuition bill and can be submitted later in the summer.
For financial aid forms...don't post here. Call the financial aid office and get a form faxed; Call housing for the roommate match form. These 2 have important deadlines associated with them.

I actually did call the admissions office, sam, and I was put on hold, then asked to call back later. When I did, the call didn't go through at all. I usually find it much easier to ask questions here because people on the CC are usually a lot more helpful and prompt than the officials, probably (and ironically) because it's not their job. If I worked in an admissions office I would get tired of people asking the same questions over and over, too, even if they were valid questions. And, it's not helpful to complain about people posting here with questions like this. We post here because it works. And generally because we have a good reason.

blucroo, thank you for your helpful tips. About how much will the insurance waiver take off the bill, if you know?

I looked through it, and it seemed like it was for US Citizens...do I have to fill this up if I'm international? I'm planning to call tomorrow because the admissions office has NOT replied my email...argh.

Last year, the insurance waiver saved us $1535. You still have to pay the mandatory Health Service Fee. Also if you do get the waiver, be sure your parent's insurance company will pay for services provided. YOu will have to pay for any services and get reimbursed.

actually the 'blue' (i just don't remember it being blue haha) financial aid confirmation form was part of the financial aid package they sent us (in a folder, with the financial aid award sheet in front).

housing forms won't be available until june 1st, or so they have formally indicated.

blucroo-- could you elaborate a bit on the insurance waiver?
S. will be a freshman, and is covered under our health plan. Do they require additional insurance?

PM - the link to the PDF of the financial aid confirmation form is on TAMS on the Financial Document Tracker thing, and it was supposed to be send with the confrimation of enrollment on May 1. I never got one. I emailed the fin aid office about it. You should too.

lspf72, we have taken the insurance waiver for each of the past three years as our son is covered under our major medical plan. We are billed by Tufts for any care he receives at the health services clinic and then our plan reimburses us at the out-of-network rate. Anytime he has had a prescription filled, he shows his insurance card to the pharmacy and it is processed in-network just as it would be at home.

lspf72: Yes, our D is covered until age 25 under our plan. She was billed for an immunization and we are now submitting for reimbursement to our plan. As our HMO does not provide care in Massachussettes, she is covered. For prescriptions, our plan allows us to order routine prescriptions from here and they mail them to her. If she needs something quick, we pay and submit for reimbursement. Haven't had to do that yet. Just make sure you talk with your plan and get the info in writing, since it is an HMO.

Scrabble- The financial aid confirmation is not in my TAMS' financial documents tracking. Anyway, I looked over the sheet, and it appears to be for people living in the states (I'm international).

DustBunny- I swear, I saw the housing forms for the Class of 2011 online somewhere and printed out a copy. However, I lost the copy and cannot remember where it is online...
