It’s outreach FSU does. They have a whole call center which pays current students to call prospective students 
Most people will receive a call - it’s a way for FSU to connect with you and make sure you don’t have any questions or concerns. It won’t affect if you’re accepted or not
I guess I’m the lone transfer on this thread?? I’ve been trying to dig around and see if I can find any info on transfer admissions.
I’m coming from a community college with a 3.55 and applied for the limited access accounting major. Weird thing is I got an email from the College of Admissions telling me congratulations on your “conditional admission” to the FSU College of Business and the I should be hearing from the Office of Admissions soon. That was five days ago and I’m about to die. They even explained that I need to get signed up for Orientation and the Accounting entrance exam ASAP after i hear from admissions. Now radio silence!!
Transfers usually get in, from what I’ve been told. I’m not a transfer, but like you should get in. Thankfully, you got an email, again, I haven’t gotten anything. Crying.
Lurking mother coming out in the open. My son has applied to 4 FL schools, however, FSU is his choice school. I would be happy with the ones he was accepted to and have scholarships for. However, I am nervous on his behalf. He is very interested in FSU and I can’t help but want that for him. Hoping I have a happy young man tomorrow night and our family can go out to celebrate. (Ironically Dad is a Gator graduate and this family has shown Orange and Blue all his life. LOL) May we please have a divided house tomorrow Lord. Good Luck everyone!

While we wait…@frykera - you responded earlier to someone’s post “…hopefully, he gets into the summer program!” What does that mean exactly? Is there the possibility that if one doesn’t get accepted for fall they would be considered for summer? If so, is that an automatic consideration? If anyone has any info on that I would appreciate it. I see on line there is a specific summer program that requires a different essay in the application process but that program seems to be geared toward a specific group of students.
@Raam1012 The summer program has lower requirements. If one does not meet the requirements for starting in fall, they will start in summer. If one does not qualify for fall, they will automatically be considered for summer.
Thank you for the response - Do you know how long the summer program is/when it starts? If one starts in summer do they continue in fall?
