FSU Gets to Keep Seminole Name

<p>The NCAA has decided to exempt FSU from its effort to stamp out politically incorrect mascots: <a href="http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050823/SPORTS/50823012/0/SPORTS03%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050823/SPORTS/50823012/0/SPORTS03&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>The fact that the Seminole tribe was supportive of FSU was a key factor.</p>

<p>It's unknown whether the NCAA will petition the state legislature to change the name of its HQ location: Indianapolis, Indiana. :)</p>
