FSU Housing Fall 2017

Hello, I am transferring as a junior to FSU in the fall. Because it will be my first year at FSU, I want to live on campus so I can adjust easily. I just applied for housing and got a high priority number (5745). I know that I will be able to get a dorm, but I was wondering if anyone knew what my chances of getting an apartment style dorm is? I know these are hard to get into because they are popular, but I was wondering if because I was a transfer and freshmen can’t apply to these halls, if there was a chance I could get one? Also, if I can’t get the apartment style, what are my chances of getting a suite-style?

Your best bet here is to contact FSU Housing.

You will want to let them know that you’re a transfer. As long as you graduated high school more than a year ago you will be able to be placed in one of the apartment halls, since that’s what it sounds like you want.

They may have to cancel your current application and you might have to reapply. Be prepared for everything to be a huge hassle because that’s FSU Housing’s specialty, but it should work out for you to get one of the apartment style buildings.
