- Housing Contract- If you aren’t 18 when the housing contract is submitted you need to turn in the parent signature form , right? Or is it if you aren’t 18 after the 10 days? I turn 18 this weekend
- On the form, it asks for student fsu email. Any idea where I could find this?
I think you need to have your parents sign it within 10 days or you will lose your priority number if you aren’t 18 on the day of application. I know when I did the application for my son it said he didn’t need it because he was already 18 at the time. I wouldn’t take any chances. On the form I entered his regular email, but I was in a hurry. I was doing it right when it opened and trying to get it done quickly to get a good priority number. He was in school at the time.
It’s 18 on the day you apply. Legally, you aren’t allowed to sign contracts like that if you’re under 18 without a parent’s signature, which is why the signature form is required even if you turn 18 within a couple days of filling it out.
You would need to create your FSUID, and then you would have your FSU email. I don’t think though that it is required to do that before you fill in the contract, though I might be wrong.
Your FSUID is basically your initials, the year you created the ID, and if needed, an identifying letter at the end. So for John Smith it would be js15@my.fsu.edu or similar. You can go to this page and create your FSUID if you haven’t: http://newnole.fsu.edu/Pre-Orientation/Activate-Your-Permanent-FSUID-myFSU-Email-Account-and-Access-the-myFSU-Portal
I called FSU regarding the FSU email and they said that this email is given to you after you commit to FSU and put the school deposit down. So, if you haven’t committed like myself, you leave that section blank and the parent signature form will still be completed.
