Hey everyone! I got accepted to Fall FSU and I'm wondering about the dorms. I got like a 2000 priority number and I am thinking of applying for a LLC. What is the difference between LLC and normal dorms? Is it more expensive? Is it better to live in a LLC dorm rather than a random one? Can fsu current students share some of your experiences with me? Thanks, I greatly appreciate it.

First, you have to realize that an LLC is a living-learning community. You’re going to be taking classes within your dorm building.

There’s no difference between an LLC and a non-LLC dorm room. The only big exceptions are that to live in Bryan Hall, you have to be accepted to the Bryan Hall LLC, and a few other dorms are predominantly LLC members. There’s no cost difference, and every dorm building except Bryan Hall that houses an LLC also houses non-LLC students.

The only difference between being in an LLC and not being in an LLC is that if you apply to an LLC, get accepted, and join the LLC, you are guaranteed a spot in the hall where the LLC is housed, and that you then have to take a couple classes in your dorm building itself.

Do you know what the chances are of getting into an llc if you are alternate number 14?
