Fulfilling the Degree Units

I'm in the College of Environmental Design, and they recommend taking at least 15 units per semester in order to reach the required number of 120 units to graduate.

Since I took AP courses in high school, and received passing scores, I have fulfilled several Breadth courses, as well as the University and Campus Requirements, with the exception of American Cultures.

I'm confused about the AP credit though....According to CED, they say that "AP credit earned prior to entering the College shall not be counted toward maximum unit limitations, either for the selection of a major or for graduation, unless the student so desires."

My question is, can AP credit (when transformed into units) count towards the 120 units? For example, I have about 30 or so units earned from AP. Does this mean I only have about 90 units to earn when I begin classes? Or do I still have to have at least 15 units per semester nonetheless?

Thank you!

In order to graduate you must 1) fulfill all req. for your major and 2) get at least 120 units (AP units can count towards the 120 unit limit). This means that you can graduate in 3 years if you fulfill all your requirements in those 3 years and take at least 15 units a semester.

You can choose to have your AP credit count towards your 120 units or not.

I don't think you can fulfill breadth through AP credits, maybe this is different for college of env. design
