wow. I wish I had known that IB even existed before I found CC. Then I might have stood a chance.<<

If you didn't know about it, you probably did not have it available to you.

My daughter, a full IB diploma candidate, was accepted ED to Penn.

Accepted to Swarthmore ED

Accepted ED to Wake Forest.

I'm also an Diploma Candidate. I've been accepted to Suffolk which gives me sophomore standing if I get a 28. I applied to BU, BC and NEU but they will be mailing decisions in about two weeks.
I only did IB because it helps me get into college. I take Spanish A1 HL, English A2 HL, History HL, Math Methods, Bio SL, French ab initio plus the dominican high school curriculum.

Did you guys send in your predicted grades?
I am applying to some of those places, what are the minimum predicted grades required?
I have many friends who have said that IB acceptance is definetely higher than normal acceptance rate:)
I am currently doing IB and I think i got a predicted 43/45, would this be good enough for ivies combined with decent sat, ec’s and recs for an international?

Thanks

wduwtn, you do realize this thread is almost five years old, right?

Its not a bad idea to re-activate this thread. I think many IB Diploma candidates are questioning how the IB Diploma can help. My twin DD’s are both IB Diploma Candidates. One has applied and been accepted to ASU’s Barrett Honors College. That’s her first choice (she’ll be a journalism major), but we’re waiting to hear from Syracuse, USC, and Washington State. The other is applying to Stanford (EA), Brown, Harvey Mudd, Harvard, USC, and Univ of Ariz Honors college.
