Full Ride + BSMD Acceptance

I have a two part question:
I can’t find any info about Merit Scholarship amounts on Case.

Does case offer full ride to some amount of students?

and would being accepted into their BSMD program (pre-acceptance into Med school) lower the amount of aid you get?

Thank you

CWRU offers four full rides for theater and music majors, or minors, very competitive. There is an audition on campus for that award and one needs to submit a tape or video to get invited to audition. The audition is in February. The Michelson Morley Scholarship amount varies as I understand it as does the Presidential award. Usually about 2/3 to 3/4 of tuition is covered, but depends on many factors including I think the strength of your application.

Aid is different than merit and is based on tax returns your parents submit to CWRU. Aid will change year to year, if your parent’s income changes, but merit is awarded for four years. You may get both types of awards.

I do not see why getting accepted into a BS/MD program would lower either aid or Merit but I am not understanding the question. Aid is based on a formula, merit is won by your record. If you got into a BS/MD program you
are one of the top applicants compared to those that get into regular undergraduate only programs, so I would assume those students all win some merit, but I do not know. Its a very small number that get into BS/MD program at CWRU.

I was referring to Merit Aid only, not financial aid.

My thoughts were that if CWRU offered acceptance into their BSMD program, they would feel that offer is alluring enough without having to throw money at you.

I know amounts vary for the automatic Presidential and Michelson Morley, as I have two sons, and one won the Presidential back in 2013 and the other one the Michelson Morley in 2016. The amounts can vary from $15K to $30K per year for four years. Directly depends on your stats, as I understand it and ECs like say robotics or medical research etc.

Here is some info for the scholarships you must apply for separately and much harder to win those:

Here are the automatic consideration awards (those are the one’s my son’s won)

It seems to me that all the BS/MD students will be prime contenders for all of the above.
