Full Tuition/Full Ride Scholarships for Ohio Schools?

My dd is a junior and we are lining up her college visits. There is a good chance she will be a national merit semi-finalist. I have read about some great scholarships to schools in Alabama and Texas, but do any Ohio schools give great scholarships for NMSF?

If she becomes a finalist (most do), the University of Cincinnati gives full tuition/room and board. Students also compete in the Cincinnatus program, which can also give a book allowance and stipend. I’m sure there are others…

Bowling Green State University and Wright State University have full ride for NM scholars I think.

Denison’s Paschal Carter Scholarship is for NMF. Awards $35,000 annually plus one-time $3,000 grant for computer, study abroad, or research. You must apply for it (additional essay). I believe there are 35 available.

I am pretty sure that Ohio University in Athens gives full tuition with a 32 ACT. I don’t know their NMF policy.

NMS are very likely to get the full ride scholarship at Youngstown.

Also - did you know that Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware and Mount Union in Alliance are very generous with merit aid? I would think full tuition+ would be likely if the student’s SAT score and grades are good.

We visited Mount Union last summer and we were impressed. The professors are caring, the campus is beautiful and with their DIII Football powerhouse, they have all of the tailgating/football party fun that you would have at a Big 10 school. Alliance is a small city so it’s not like you are out in the middle of nowhere, and location-wise, it is convenient - you are fairly close to the Akron Canton airport.

Midwestmom2kids, we will have to look at Mount Union. Our neighbor’s daughter went there and she loved it. I appreciate the ideas posted here. We have 5 kids, 4 will be in college at the same time, and are hoping to take advantage of DD’s national merit status to help pay for the majority of education if possible.
