Fun at Brown?

I am a very hardworking student, don’t get me wrong, but are kids at Brown always hitting the books, or are they truly devoting time to enjoy themselves such as going to parties? I can’t think of going somewhere where all the kids just study and freak out instead of learning how to balance their lives

Fun at Brown.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

Hahaaa....

HAHAHAAA This better be a joke :P

come to ADOCH or stay overnight to get the real answer, and if you want the type of school you described, go to harvard or yale

There are all kinds here. There are kids who study all the time, but I would say they're definitely in the minority. Most people are somewhere in the middle, but there are also a lot of ppl who seem to do an awful lot of partying. Every day of the week.

FishCo on weds, Spat's on thurs, frat parties friday and saturday, i think liquid does something on tues (i really don't know though, I don't go out during the week) add in SPG and spring weekend, i don't see what you're worried about.

Short answer: Brown students have A LOT of fun.

yess i knew brown was perfect for me :D

Theres a lot of drinking ifyou like that sort of thign, but there's a lot of other fun too.

people here plan around ADOCH & overnights to ensure that the pre-frosh can have all the stereotypical college fun that he or she could possibly want b/c all brownies <3 it here, so don't let that cause you to think that Brown students only know fun b/c apparently some pre-frosh who visited told admissions that he or she wasn't gonna apply b/c there was way too much fun here...the pt is is that the vast majority of Brown students know when to have fun & when to tone it down...

We have a great balance, and there will be something for everyone.

We're definitely known as a more relaxed student body than any of the other Ivies, one of the main reasons I go here...

Brown's a lot of fun. I went to Tulane my freshman year, which was more "fun" (too much in fact). But Brown has a good balance of fun and academics. You do have to look for it though. You can't just sit holed up in your dorm room and expect it to come to you. Be looking out for campus events and parties, because there are a lot of them, and you'll have a lot of fun.
