Fun, interesting, or unique classes offered by UA. Also, fascinating profs!

bumping for someone who PM’d me…

:)

Just a quick tip: If you know your major, there are lots of major specific classes that fulfill core credits as well. For example, I’m a communication studies major and was able to take Com 310 (required for major) and receive writing credit and Com 123 (humanities credit.) While taking interesting classes is nice, you want to be careful in case you do change your major. For example, if I wanted to change my major, it wouldn’t be terrible for me, because the classes fulfill core credit instead of taking up elective hours. Hope that make sense : )

Good advice!

Thanks for bumping up this post, mom! Good to have as Bama Bound approaches!

Thought I’d bump this thread…

This is an upper division honors Writing course W designation. Son loved this class and the instructor. This is an instructor that really cares about her students. She keeps in contact with them after classes end and helps then with their futures.

My son will be one of the TA’s for this class (as well as the non-honors version, which is just as good). This class can be completed before the semester ends, so that can lighten your semester-end time. This class is very good for those who need to develop their logic and thinking skills.

Ocdtc12, how nice it was to see that Dwight Eddins was one of the professors you recommend. He taught a class I took back in the early 70’s. Think it was Modern British Literature. He was the dashing young Rhodes scholar over whom many a coed swooned.
