Funding/Admissions Odds MSc vs. MEng

I was just curious to see what everyone's thoughts were on odds of funding when applying for a Master of Science vs. Master of Engineering (or MSC no thesis). Is there a significant difference between the two?

What about overall odds of admission between the two degrees?

I plan on applying for Meng, but would certainly do MSc if it is expected to have increased chances of funding or admissions.

MS + Thesis + full-time study = funding

a MEng is usually a terminal professional degree that is non-funded and can be done part-time and/or by distance education.

Having said that, I am not sure about a few schools…namely MIT or Princeton who offer full-time MEng programs. You may have to research those websites of those programs to see if they are funded or not.

Still…in most cases…a MS/No-Thesis or MEng degree program is easier to be admitted to than the full-time, funded MS+Thesis.
