Funniest/Most Ironic PSAT/SAT Student Search Emails

Well, I signed up for the Student Search Service to get the hilarious e-mails, and they came. They really did. Anyone got any (please provide context, otherwise it might not be that funny)?

Here are mine:

SMU–

Subject line: SMU and You

"[My name], you want a school that has as much to offer as you do. Consider SMU, where academic challenge, leadership opportunities and a dynamic city come together to create a well-rounded college experience. Take a look and imagine the infinite combinations. All we’re missing is you!"

Context: I'm a Jewish public school student from the northeast who wants anything but somewhere with a Greek scene.

I get mail from service academies all the time. I can't apply because I'm not a US citizen.

Oh, that's good. That's very, very funny. :D

I can imagine it, too. You're on a campus tour (having decided to visit for some reason) and they ask you where you're from...

D got mail from Texas A&M touting their poultry science program. Uhhh....no thanks.

haha, I got mail from Scripps... many times. Even long after I asked to be removed from their mailing list. (I'm a guy, and Scripps is all-female.)

Of all the universities that sent me mail, one that hounded me the most was St. Mary's College of California -- ironic because I'm an ardent atheist, and the last place I'd want to go is a religious school. =p

^HAHA that is soo weird.
sometimes programs like people 2 people send those packages to children who've been dead for a few years =O

I'm sorry, I've got you all beat, from New College of Florida:

"We bought your name from the College Board for 31 cents.

Clearly that's not much basis for a meaningful relationship, so here's a little background on New College..."

^^ haha, I would apply to that college just for that beginning line!

I'm also getting service academy mail- can't apply either

WHOA HAHAHAHAHAH LMAO GREATEST OPENING EVER

Not Student Search Service but along those lines...S's guidance counselor did on-line college search for him. Included were Smith and Barnard...worst thing was she gave him the list as is, uncorrected.

New College FL...great!

I think it was MIT who managed to find a brouchure with a ballet dancer on the front to send to my dancer daughter with the perfect math score.

^really? that's quite amazing!! one of the reasons why i <3 MIT

MIT sent me an email.......with a 52 math score hahaha

Do colleges send emails to anyone who checks the box or are they tailored to to the student's PSAT scores?

^^what?! i didn't get one =( i didn't get anything from MIT :( (and i have a 80 math score)
