Funniest PSAT Results Ever

Lol, I just got back my results (I'm a sophomore). Tell me this isn't funny.

CR - 800
Writing - 800
Math - 550!

The math is the same as I got in 8th grade! I've yet to go over my answers . . . maybe I forgot how to fill in the boxes? Oh well, this was the time to make mistakes!

ok i have to say thats pretty wierd
lol

amazing with CR/Writing though...good job

Haha oh man those results rock. At least it's clear as to where you made your mistakes. Plus you probably still did better than most of the people at your school/in your grade. =]

sigh. only on cc would a 55 be considered funny...

what I find funny is the conversations in MY school...

"She got a what?! She doesn't even have to work for it!"
"I know, she got like, what, 20 points higher than me?"
"ugh. 150...what a freak."

and also, my guidance counselor "suggesting" psats should be over 140+...
(...and being the only person in the room who had over a 140+...)

its ok, you havent learned many principles yet...

awesome psat score tho... i think its bs.. but if its true.. gluck next year..

I had sort of a similar result. Not as drastic, but...

W - 80
CR - 76
M - 63

Not all of us are math people. That's okay.

Math was so damn easy on it, no offense. It was material ranging from Algebra 1 and Geometry. However, I do poorly in CR.

Yep, it was easy. Filled the boxes wrong. Got every single one of the free-responses wrong.

Easy depends on the kind of person you are. Frankly, I thought CR and Writing were both a piece of cake.

that's actually kinda sad

Honestly, that is hilarious!!!!!!!! I think if I actually got that, I really would sit there and laugh for a while. I had something similar last year. Two 69s and one 58. I was like huhhhh, how do I suck at writing by that many points? Although, this year my scores went up, so I'm happy.

I'm hoping it's just a fluke for me like it was for you . . . lol.

I bet my friend $5 that i would get a score in the 100s, and I got a 199. XD

hey but its easier to improve math than cr

not that she needs to improve the math, cuz it was a scantron mistake

lol , you'll get a 240 next year no prob

Yeah, similar thing for me. 75 CR, 67 W (but who cares about W?), 60 M.
I have never taken a geometry class. EVER. And so I have no idea how to, like, calculate the area of a circle or anything...I mean, it's mostly a matter of memorizing the formulas, but...still.

lol i remember when i first took the AMC10's in freshman year, and i had NO clue what similar triangles were. i knew the formulas for areas and stuff, but the other geometry i ahd no idea. i ended up doing the similar triangle problems as geometric progressions, the formula for which i reasoned...yeah. it was quite weird, cuz i made the problem 10x harder
