What are my chances? 4.0 uw gpa / IB student, 3 AP courses, 33 ACT, orchestra 7 yrs, clubs and community service. science-focused.

Very good chances.

Yes - extremely good to get in and I would guess you’d be very competitive to receive one of their named scholarships. Well done!

In state or OOS? @NavyNole Their named scholarships are extremely competitive and limited . My son was invited to interview last year . They received 1200 applications. They invited 44 applicants to compete for 10 Hollingsworth,( instate) 8 Townes and 4 Duke scholarships . She may be eligible for some music scholarships depending on her instrument .

@StatQueen my D2 had similar stats to yours and received one of the named scholarships. That was a few years ago, so it may have gotten more competitive, but I do think you have a shot at being invited to an interview weekend. If you are, though stats are still important, the interviewers’ evaluations will weigh heavily in the award decisions.
