<p>My mom bought me a futon, bookshelf and small end table. What do you think about this stuff in a single or double room?<br>

<p>It really depends on your room and which dorm. My son's freshman dorm room (Collins, I believe) was so small the beds couldn't even be unbunked. There was no room for anything extra except they did work in some of those stackable cubes. However, other rooms on the same floor were bigger.</p>
<p>It all depends on the size of your room. The bookshelf and end tables should be able to fit into most if not all of the rooms, the futon not so much.</p>
<p>Are you lofting your beds? If you are, you might be able to fit more furniture in the rooms.</p>
<p>If you don't loft your bed, there is no room in a double. Even in my single, I can't even fit a chair.</p>
<p>You don't have to loft in all the rooms. There are plenty of double rooms where you room without lofting. It really is all contingent on which dorm you're in.</p>
