Future of civil engineering? Promissing?

Alright, so im currently in my second year of a four year degree at the university of auckland in New Zealand doing civil engineering. I absolutely love this field. And was wondering what the job outlook would be in about 2-3 years time. Id proably be moving to Australia after my degree. I can still specialise in either Civil or Environmental fromt he third year.

Any country that is civilized has need for infrastructure, thus creating a demand for civil engineers.

To give you a statistic, infrastructure spending around the world might be as high as $35 trillion over the next 20 years.

Global Infrastructure Spending to Reach $35 Trillion Over the Next 20 Years

I think you'll be safe in the long run.

Also, infrastructure always needs to be repared and updated, so there should be work continiously avaliable for qualified individuals.

Australia is going/already does have a huge need to Civ/Env engineering. They are in a big time water shortage and they need to figure out ways of managing what water they do have

if you want to come to the states, business will soon be booming over here too
