Ok so my mind is set on becoming a pediatrician. After my senior year I'll be attending college next year in august. My question is what classes should I take my freshmen year and so on? I want to major in psychology and minor in chemistry. Is this possible?? If so would my schedule look to impacted. And would I still graduate in four years? I know there are classes you have to take if your on the pre med track to help you past the mcat, but what kind of math classes? And do I have to take any history classes if I'm majoring in psychology?

You should probably focus more on getting into college than your schedule. Ending your senior year good will be harder than you expect. Apply for many scholarships.

To answer your question, yes you can major in psych and minor in chem. Your first semester should be 1 psych course (intro psych), gen chem, intro bio, and calc. Your next semester should be the same (you take psych statistics). You should be able to graduate on time, unless you do something out of the ordinary. If you go to a liberal arts college, you will have to complete at least a semester of a history course. You will need a semester of english as well each year. But you don’t know exactly because you haven’t got into a college yet. When taking organic chem during your sophmore year, load up on psych classes. Take o chem, bio, and maybe 2 or 3 psych classes. Some psych class have the english component in them so you dont have to take an english class that year. You should start physics the end of your sophmore year or beginning of june, depending on the schools schedule.

Doing good in science during high school is important to success during undergrad. Wanting to be a doctor is not enough. You need to work hard AND be smart. What do your high school grades look like?
