<p>Son accepted to Cal and USC yesterday. So proud of course. We live 20 miles from Berkeley so this is truly Bear Country. BUT…class sizes at Cal are in the hundreds, even for upper div now. This is fine for students that can learn effectively in that situation, it is a personal decision. Son accepted to Marshall - at Cal business students cannot declare that major as a freshman. They have to apply to Haas as sophomores and if they are accepted will be business majors their last 2 years, otherwise choose an associated major like econ or whatever. Getting in to USC -Marshall guarantees that undergrad business school education with smaller classes all four years. Univ of Cal in general is accepting more OOS students this year because they pay more tuition. You are certainly well qualified and deserving - please don’t misinterpret that. Percentage wise, UC is taking in a higher number now as was expressed to us more than once at various UC visits.</p>
<p>Got into UCLA, USC and UC Berkley.</p>

Before you enroll at Berkeley it might be a good idea if you learn to spell the name of the university.</p>
<p>i got into the 3 cali schools i applied to (usc, ucla, cal). obviously, ucla is out of the picture.</p>
<p>as of right now, usc marshall (presidential scholar (hopefully)) + berkeley are 2 of my top 3 choices… i already know this is going to be a crazy hard decision. :(</p>
