Jeez, I was rejected today : (
I saw it coming. I'm going to have to go to my safety school and transfer.
BUT I WILL NOT TRY TO TRANSFER TO USC.

where u from?

Mississippi

Stats? Status/ Can you get on OASIS/Web-Reg?

Where are you gonna transfer to?

God now to think of it I probably would want to transfer to USC

I'm not going to transfer into USC. If they had offered my spring admission, I probably wouldn't have taken it either.

I'm deciding between UCLA and Cal. Cal might give me scholarships, as they've notified me about them and called me. Without a financial aid package however, I'm leaning towards UCLA. YOU CAN'T SPELL SUCK WITHOUT USC! <3

Me too! :(

Oh boy, we got a traitor on our hands.

No but seriously, congrats on UCLA and Cal, those are just as good, if not better (depending on what you're looking for) than USC, so you must not be too disapointed.

It's frustrating because I got what has been shown to be an instant rejection status change, the "acted on 3/29" one, yet I still am anxiously awaiting the letter.

Sigh.

Rejected as well! Woohoo! Everyone, let's look on the bright side: we won't have to live in South Central LA next year haha!

YEA FOR REAL F*** USC lol. Quicktoxix(sp) CAL and UCLA are way better. I knew that i was gonna get rejected, i mean the numbers this year are ridiculous. Just because they had a lot of people applying doesnt make their programs any better.

umm ok.. i'm so confused.. i'm not from cali.. so when you guys say CAL what school do you mean??

Cal is the university of California at Berekely aka the best university (other than stanford) in the state of California

then why don't people say UCB? becuase its UCLA and UCD.. etc..

**** it. Boston University c/o 2012.

Congrats. Boston's a sick city. I'm biased, but still. You'll love it.

haha good question Lori. My only answer is that its the number one public university in california... what am i saying, THE NATION so people know what you mean when you say CAL

People call it Cal call because it was the first UC school...the "flagship," so it gets to be called Cal, which is short for California. I'm guessing the nickname began before there were more than one.

Yeah. It's really no different than people saying "UMass" or "UConn" or "Wisconsin" or something. There are other UMasses, UConns, etc., but it refers to the flagship university.

The UC system is just so strong that its second and third and fourth and fifth etc. schools are also very good.

Yeah screw all of the USC people... I'm going to either Michigan or SLO!!
I got my rejection today and I was surprised, I filled it up with USC pride and went to all of the events I could... I had a 4.52 weighted (3.88 UW) and an 1810 SAT and lots of EC's.
