G.P.A for Cal State Long Beach

<p>Hello to all! I'm new here!</p>

<p>My problem:</p>

<p>Today, my advisor combined my GPA from my current college with my GPA from a previous college (1997-1998). My GPA dropped from 3.2 to 2.7. I am WORRIED I may not be accepted to my college of choice (Cal State Long Beach's English: Creative Writing Department). Does my future look positive?</p>

<p>By the way, I live 45 minutes from the college...I believe distance can also play a major role...</p>

<p>There are some Cal State schools that will give you an idea whether you will get admitted. I would call the admissions department at Long Beach State and see what they say.</p>

<p>If you go to a community college, Long Beach State may even visit your school and tell you on the spot. I believe SF State visits College of Marin (a community college) and tells a student whether he is in or not.</p>
