GA Tech vs. Georgia State

Hello. I had a conversation about these two schools today with my counselor. I told her I really like Georgia State, but she said GA Tech would be much better. I know if I go to GA Tech I will have to work SO MUCH harder than if I did go to Georgia State. Although I know I will be determined to keep my grades up, I also want to have a social life. ( I think at Tech I will just have to work incredibly more to get the same kind of grades).

Does it really matter which school I go to?

Btw, I'm not really sure about a specific major yet, but I do know I want to do the pre-med track!

Thanks in advanced.

Anyone have an opinion?

If you are considering to stay within the state, then definitely Tech!

ps: I know so many people at Tech who are pre-med and we have a pretty good relationship with Emory. So if you want to go there for med school, it will give you an advantage.

People who go to GT and belong to fraternities do pretty well with academics because the courses have nearly the same tests over and over, and the old tests are practiced and studied by the students, and usually it pays off.
