Gabelli Presidential Scholars Weekend

Is anyone who has been to the weekend for Gabelli finalists in the past willing to share their experiences? My understanding is that it’s a combination of interviews and other experiences during which you are also evaluated. For the interviews, is it like a typical college interview, or are there particular types of things they ask about?

And for the other evaluative experiences, what are they/what is that like? I know this sounds silly, but does it feel like you’re being watched all the time, or is it pretty clear when you’re being evaluated?

Any thoughts on the overall atmosphere of the weekend would be greatly appreciated as well. After all, it is 60+ students competing for ~15 spots: does it feel really intense?

Just wanted to have some understanding of what it’s like going in; I’m very excited!

Have you gotten the letter yet? If so, how close do you live to Boston?

Sorry for the late response, @guy1234, just saw. You probably have gotten the BC packet by now, but just in case, I got the letter on the 21st, and I live just outside Boston.
