i got my package today! I'm impressed!

My son received mail last week from the office of financial aid. I suggest that all of you who are going to Explore Day at USC and who do not have notification of financial aid, to go to the financial aid office on campus.

i received an email that my fin aid package was available, then it only listed my scholarship, and when i called and they said they hadn't sent my financial aid package to me after all? My last documents were sent in late march, and they said my awards would be up by the end of the week! yay!

end of teh week.. as in tomorrow?

um i hope so

Another request for another form...

"Parent Monthly Income & Expense/Projected Year Income Declaration Form"

I can't believe this! I need to decide where I'm going by the end of the month and I can't do that until I know my finaid!!! Now I don't even know if I'll get it by then!

^^ same here.. on hold with them RIGHT NOW!!

(PS, i did that form too.., like 2 weeks ago?)

Mine Are Up!!

University Grant : 33k
Loans : 4 K
Work Study : 2.5 K
Total : 39.5 k

EFC : 12K

I'm Going to THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!

Wow, I can go to USC, im so happy. My EFC was like 13k I got:

University Grant: 38k
Work Study 2.5k
Loans: 4k

All together I've gotta pay around $6700, wooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

D got accepted two weeks ago, still no aid package. Other schools either included the aid letter with the acceptance or it followed a day later. D has already gotten excited about the other schools and forgotten all about USC. Perhaps we'll never know what their aid would have contained, because her "decline" postcard will arrive before the aid package is posted. I know there's no shortage of applicants trying to get into USC, but I wonder how many other accepted students they lose this way?

Wow, looking back over this thread there's very few packages below like $35k, USC really is alot more generous than I expected.

gadad, try to get her to hold off sending that postcard. She has until May 1 to reply to all the colleges. USC was really, really generous to my D - and they might be to yours, too.

WOW!!! I just received my financial aid package. Talk about generous. Looks like I'll be seeing some of you over there this fall!!

Yea, they truly make it worth the wait.

you better get up on the usc facebook group, and the real group is University of southern california 2012 not USC 2012

woww. im impressed!

it doesn't matter if you're out of state, its private..but thats still good that u don't have to pay a lot

Seeing all these freshies with their packages makes me worry about my own grant money. Eh.

I think they do raise the loans every year because I got 6K this year (i knocked off 2K with scholarship but..) i think before that it was like 5k? hmmm
