I received my nomination to USMA a week ago but I never got one to USNA. I really wanted a chance to attend both so I can end up at a service academy but I guess they only gave me my "first choice" academy nomination?

well, you can only attend one! You have 2 senators and one rep. who can give you nominaitons (plus VP & Pres if eligible). Have you applied to all? A MC is only going to give you one nomination. And it appears that you received your first choice - so work on being accepted!

is that a complaint? remember some people dont even get nominations. be happy you have one.

but its possible to receive both from the same congressman right?

Yeah Weski I did apply to both senators, congressman and VP and I havent heard back from those.

I know it sounds like Im complaining...and well I guess I am lol

Receiving a nomination reduces a lot of candidates. Last year there were 11,259 candidates and after nominations went out only 4,320. That's a considerable number that did not receive nominations. So all though it would have been nice to get both nominations, but hey you got one still, think of all those who didn't get one!!

WoW,

Congratulations on getting your "first choice". It sounds like you already made your decision with this selection. That's why in the competitive districts, the MOC application asks you to decide.
