<p>did any of you write a written statement? what did you have to write about, and how long should it be?</p>

<p>Yes! I did the written statement.
It’s pretty open-ended…really, I just elaborated on why I wanted to go to Gallatin. Also, it was pretty short - mine wasn’t more than a page double-spaced.

<p>yes I got two emails: “Book your travel plans to NYC for April” and “Congratulations from NYU!” before the letter came</p>

<p>I was rejected and I had a 2270 on the sat, I’m in the top 10 percent, had excellent extracurriculars so I don’t know what happened. Anyone with similar stats rejected?</p>

<p>Aww congrats everyone on your acceptances I just got waitlisted today. I’ve found the statistics for waitlisted students for previous years at NYU but does anyone know about the Gallatin waitlist acceptance rate specifically? I’m still hoping for the best.</p>

<p>Rachael525: My stats are high 2000s SAT, 3.94 GPA and 7 AP classes. Those aren’t super impressive… I think what got me in were quirky essays and extracurriculars and my letter of intent. I also go to a flexible high school with a similar program as Gallatin.
