Gallatin 2015!

Anyone else out there?
I got my letter in the mail yesterday. SO pumped!

Ooh ooh! Me! You have an idea about your concentration yet?

Probably studio art and economics. They’re not very similar but that’s the whole point, right?
What about you?

Something to do with Nutrition, Social Justice, Food Studies, and Public Policy. With some philosophy of ethics and media/culture studies thrown in. Basically, about how to get good quality food and food education into underserved neighborhoods/the politics concerned with it.
Wow, though, art and economics are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum

Congrats!!! That’s amazing–I want to go to Gallatin so bad i’m borderline obsessive… that being said would you please post or message me your stats or any admission tips? I’m still trying to get a feel for Gallatin’s admission process and ik all the chance stuff is realllllllly overdone but like I said, borderline obsessive. I also saw something about studio art (sickkkk, i was thinking of incorporating that into my concentration too) and was wondering if you submited a portfolio suplement too? Okay, sorry this is getting long; not to be a pain but if you answer this you will be some random junior-stressed-about-college’s hero!!!

I’ve heard Gallatin admissions focuses a lot on the essay, so make sure yours is strong.
My GPA was pretty low for my school (a 3.7 out of 5 weighted). That being said, I went to a different high school for 9th and 10th grade where I had a much higher GPA.
My SAT score was a 2150.
And I did include a portfolio with my application, but the admissions people don’t consider that for Gallatin.
