Great Essay, Great Short answers, & Good Letters of Rec.

Your stats are good, but Gallatin is an odd duck. Chances depend not only on stats (as is true everywhere), but at Gallatin the essays, short answers, what your proposed course of study is, and why Gallatin is a fit as opposed to the other schools at NYU is much more important. I don't think anyone can really evaluate chances at Gallatin.

Yeah I heard that Gallatin focuses on the writing, but are my stats a definite match for NYU?

"Want to work in Marketing and Advertising"

I stopped reading after that line. Why in the bejeezes would you apply to GALLATIN, where kids major in evil and Chuck Norris, as opposed to Stern which actually offers a marketing major? If anything it looks like you're taking the wimpy way out cause you think Gallatin is easier to get in, and that won't reflect well on your app.

Hey *******...don't you think I know that Stern has an actual "marketing major"? I want to pursue advertising and PR with a SIDE of marketing. Stern wouldn't afford me the flexibility to pursue this curriculum.

and FYI: I'm not taking the easy way out: I spoke with Prof. Green (Prof. of marketing) at Stern and he said that Gallatin (from which he recieved his degree) would be a better fit.

There isn't THAT much of a difference between the admissions rates.

P.S. Seriously?...a Chuck Norris joke?...seriously?

^^haha. 10 char

mmoore, did you make it?

yes i did, Chedva

Congratulations!
