gap year after high school

I've been accepted to Northwestern (undergraduate), but I'm wondering if I could take a year off before I start my freshman year.

Is this possible? If not at Northwestern, is this possible at any university?

Thanks all in advance.

Check the school’s policy on deferring enrollment. Most let you, but some don’t defer aid and some prohibit you from going to school in the meantime.

Gap years are getting more and more common. Schools say they like it because the kids come in a bit more mature. My son enjoyed it because he had a cool internship. You don’t have to travel the world or other expensive things to do it. Ask the school - they won’t rescind your acceptance for asking. Good luck!
