I’m a high school junior and I’m considering the possibility of taking a gap year after my senior year. I still intend to apply to some of the UCs this fall. I read that UC Davis allows “newly admitted undergraduate students to postpone their initial enrollment at UC Davis for up to one year”. Is this true for all the UCs?
With Covid-19, the UC’s have been flexible this year but for next year. things may change again and in general, deferment is on a case by case basis. UC Davis still has to approve the deferment which is not always granted.
You will have to wait until the next application cycle and contact the schools when the time comes.
