<p>I think even getting to the finalist stage is quite an accomplishment so congratulations to all! I have already committed to my college but getting the scholarship will make the next few years a lot easier. So, fingers crossed for all!</p>

<p>Has anyone called HSF regarding email notifications, I mean.</p>
<p>@rahmemanuel (very unique username I must say): APISAF and UNCF said emails will be sent out on Friday the 15th. Most likely HSF will have email notifications, too, but you can always call them to ask.</p>
<p>Yes, when I called today they told me emails will be sent from every organization UNCF, HSF & Indian. So we should all be getting emails starting on April 15th, but again he said not to panic if you don’t get an email on the 15th because some of the emails may be delayed a little, they have to send out 1,000 of them.</p>
<p>so emails will only be sent to those who received the scholarship?? could someone call and ask? one more day and all this waiting is making me nervous… i’m already getting butterflies in my stomach! i’m not even sure if i want to be checking my email; i’d rather wait for the mail to get there so it would be a suprise…</p>
<p>not setting my hopes high to receive this scholarship, so many people have worked so much harder than me. I guess in a sense I don’t really feel like i deserve it, but I would be so overjoyed nonetheless if i got it! I’ve already registered the orientation at the school i’ll be going to if i don’t get the gates. Either way, God is going to open and close doors for me and all i have to do is trust that He knows what He’s doing with my life!</p>
<p>Also, one more questions, will the packages be sent from the Gates headquarters or the individual organizations?

<p>^ princessla. personally, i’d be devastated. im all for accepting it and being happy with my effort, but it’d be really hard. both my older brother and sister got Gates, so you can imagine the pressure i feel. i dont know, just hope it doesn’t hit me too hard.</p>

<p>Currently freaking out. Tomorrow is the day that determines the course of my life! So excited/nervous. I am actually really confident in myself and my capabilities so I am truly hoping I received the scholarship. If I don’t then, well, I guess I don’t get to go to my dream school…</p>
<p>I’m very nervous about tomorrow. Becomig a finalist made me so happy and I just feel I have the potential to become a scholar. I’ll be crushed if I’m not a scholar, but I’ll have to keep my head up and know that it is not the end of the world.</p>
<p>Can’t wait for this day to be over! Has anyone called the Gates number today to see if anything has changed? Nothing has changed here. I pray those emails come out first thing in the morning, otherwise I’ll be refreshing my email all day! :)</p>
<p>i called uncf and they said that they are not sending out emails but every finalist have been reviewed and a decision have already been made.</p>
