Does anybody know if “First Choice College” affects how scholarships are given?
@Newdle Im pretty sure it doesnt affect the scholarship. At this point they are just looking at the application. Once you become a finalist and they ask for a letter from a school you got in to but it doesnt affect whether you get the scholarship or not.
Am I filling it out wrong? I’m trying to register, said I was a high school senior, and it’s asking what college I’m going to… is it just asking my first choice?

I am going to apply! But it’s hard to stay motivated when I think about the kinds of applicants I’m up against #:-S
I have helped over a dozen students apply for the Gates Millennium. Some became Scholars, some were finalists who were not selected as Scholars, and some didn’t become finalists. All of them benefited from the hard work and self-reflection that is required to complete the application, especially the eight essays. Even if you do not win, the work you do can be modified and revised to fit many other scholarship applications.

In the case you are selected as a finalist, they ask for some official documents (such as FA forms, scholarships and stuff from the school you are attending).
They will not ask for more essays or letters of rec, if I remember correctly.
No. Documents like your transcript & a college acceptance letter were one of the 2 documents I remembered
Are the essay questions the same every year? I might start on the essays right now as a junior since 8 is quite a bit.
I have been told by 2015 scholars that the gates millennium last year/class is 2016.
Oh uhhh am I allowed to apply as a junior? Might as well give it a shot.
