<p>@LawrenceTVo When they request your FAFSA information, they will see that information… At this point it’s nothing you can do.</p>

<p>I am most probably not a finalist, but so long as I get accepted to at least ONE of my reaches, I’ll be good because they cover 100% of need. Again, congrats to those who did get it. For the others like me who didn’t get it, it’s not the end. Plenty of scholarships out there. It won’t stop us from going to college :)</p>

<p>How long does it take for these emails to come through??? Have any other African Americans received notification (primarily from the south)??? All I see is that Hispanics have received their emails…and I want mine. I do not want to call!!!</p>
<p>@cupcake608 That does not mean you are not a finalist… It depends on your postal service as well. They are still mailing out letters and sending notifications all this week.</p>

<p>On Facebook there is a group in which two past gates scholars answer questions and what not. Here is something they posted in regards to calling the gates and seeing if you get the 0-5 documents response vs. the letter response. </p>
<p>“they will continue to update their system throughout the week to accommodate the finalist. I’m just saying don’t give up hope if the 1-800 number says a letter is being sent.”</p>
<p>I hope I am not giving anyone false hope but there may perhaps be an inkling of hope.</p>
